Here is yet another stooge of the Bush administration...putting his loyalty to to the president before the security of the people.
Homeland Security Secretary, Michael Chertoff is backing Bush on this wacky UAE contract....even thought no one else is...or at least they weren't until the Bushies started putting preasure on them.
Hey how about after Bush sells our port security to a company with ties to terrorits,he then goes on to sell our education system to a bunch of communists and our food producing industry to an asian bird flu manufactuer.
What will they do to us next? Why doesn't the administration just cut out the middle man and start bombing every major city in America! It would save them the trouble of letting an outside source do the deed....and afterward they can hire the good people of FEMA AND HALIBURTON to clean uo the mess.
Bush....you're doing a heck of a job!
Anyway, now we are in a 45 day holding pattern to find out when we will be bombed by the UAE when they get the contract. Ok so the UAE won't bomb us themselves, they will just let the terrorists slip some explosive cargo into one of our cities
Personally I think that Bin Laden should be given the contract....that way we will finally know exactally where he is. Nothing says America like having a bunch of terrorist lovers watch over your port security. At this point I think Bush figures....screw it! If the people don't like what I am doing, who cares I can't run again anyway.
And as for those who claim that not giving the UAE is racial profiling or discrimination or what ever, I say well they are one of the few govenrments that actually recognize Al Quida as a real political entity. Its not profiling to say someone will do something if they will actually do it. Besides our local governments use racial profiling all the time and no one stops them even though it is unfair in those cases....why should we all of the sudden be concerned with that label when our national security is up for debate!

Lawmakers asked the White House to reconsider its earlier approval of the deal.
U.S. lawmakers said the UAE was an important transfer point for shipments of smuggled nuclear components sent to Iran, North Korea and Libya by a Pakistani scientist, Abdul Qadeer Khan. They also said the UAE was one of only three countries to recognize the now-toppled Taliban as Afghanistan's legitimate government.
"At a time when America is leading the world in the war on terrorism and spending billions of dollars to secure our homeland, we cannot cede control of strategic assets to foreign nations with spotty records on terrorism," Fossella said.
Critics also have cited the UAE's history as an operational and financial base for the hijackers who carried out the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
"Outsourcing the operations of our largest ports to a country with a dubious record on terrorism is a homeland security and commerce accident waiting to happen," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. "The administration needs to take another look at this deal."

Well it seems that if you are Dick Cheney, you can shot a man in the face and choose not to report it until the next day!
Hey I can't stand the guy...but I don't think he did it on purpose....however what he did do onpurpose was keep the incident under wraps.
The only reason it got out when it did was becasue the local newspaper was calles by the owner of the ranch Cheney and his buddies were hunting. That was Sunday.
In fact Cheney told this woman(who was the ranch owner) that she could handle it however she saw fit....in the way of reporting it to the press that is.
Does Cheney and his band of gun toting idiots really think that this will do his public image any good?
His PR people have to be shitting themselves!
Though I guess it was only a matter of time before Cheney shot someone,I just thought it would be a DEMOCRAT!
From what I have read, when you accidentally shot someone while hunting, you have to report it to local police and they have to find out the details of the incident and make sure no one was drinking or that there was no ill will toward the person who was shot.
Well Cheney simply bypassed that part of the process, then he told some ranchers daughter that SHE should handle or deal with the press about the matter!
Can I just say......what the hell?
This man will go to any length to make it obvious to the American public that the rules of our society and the laws of our country DO NOT APPLY TO HIM!
And this is the guy who many republicans want to run in 2008! This man is a walking, talking pile of lies!
There was absolutely no reason for him not to report this as soon as it happened, he should have had Bush on one line and his PR people on the other line and told the story.
Now he looks like the ASSHOLE I always knew he was...well, me and the rest of the left that has eyes to see through his dirty politics!
A lesson for the kiddies.....Don't go hunting with Dick Cheney....He's not as good a shot as he used to be!

I've been busy and haven't even had time to post lately. But it looks like I am not the only one who has been tied up with important matters.

But when they decided to be nonchalant about it, you seemed to follow suit.
And now it seems that you are the guy who is taking the fall for our administrations ineptness.

Well guy, those days are long gone,
and now that you have decided to sing and finally let a little truth in on the situation,

Simple,
You hooked yourself up with a bunch of crooks, liers, facsist pigs!
And as the old saying goes......There is no honor amoung thieves, or in this case...politicians!
Maybe if you had come out with this information from the moment you knew of it we would sympathize with you.
But you waited until your feet were over the coals before you began revealing these truths. And you are only doing it to recant yourself and try to save a little public face.

My suggestion.....suicide...its the only honorable thing to do....besides if you were to leave some kind of confession style press release, naming names and pointing fingers....it would be alot more believeable.
Think about it...falling on your own sword is an honorable death.....having your dirty little secrets and terrible public relations mistakes and ties to an evil empire revealed to all of America on CNN.....not an honorable death.
But it will be fun to watch!
This administration has sunk to such deep depths of vacant morals and non existent ethics that they truely believe that they are untouchable!
Bush can not continue to sit by and pretend to be the dumb Texan who doesn't know what is going on behind the scenes.
People died in Katrina because of his and the rest of his companies dirty politics and attitudes that people are expendable...as long as they are poor people!
To say that Bush doesn't care about black people isn't quite correct...Bush doesn't care about any people that aren't right-wing, christian, conservative, republican, big wig, big business, billionaire, oil tycoon, types.
And 98% of the population does not fall under that category.
They should change the words to of the song, "This land is your land," to "This land is Bush land!"
